I began my dance training at the age of 3, in Melbourne. I decided to take my training more seriously and continued studies in dance and the performing arts, in Sydney, at Australia’s leading performing arts centre, Brent Street. With 20 years of training across various dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-hop, Pilate’s, Yoga and Barre, I have catalogue an array of techniques and skills from some of the industries best teachers, which I apply throughout my practices.
From a young age I wanted to travel the world performing and doing what I love most, dancing. At 18 I was approached by the Indigenous Hip-Hop Projects (IHHP), a company that travels to rural Australian communities teaching dance whilst raising awareness across a range of mental health issues. I went into this experience thinking it would be a three-week tour; I ended up traveling with this company for two years! To date this has been my most rewarding experience; it sparked an awareness that dancing means much more than just the movement of the body. It has the power to transform.
Throughout my career, I’ve been lucky enough to have worked alongside leading choreographers and both International and Australian artists such as Kylie Minogue, Beyoncé, Ricky Martin, One Direction, Samantha Jade, Baz Luhrmannn, Jessica Mauboy, The Preachers, RÜFÜS, The Illusionist Cosentino, just to name a few…
I recently joined Rachael Finch and her husband Michael Minzer, to create content for their fitness program ‘Body of Dance’ an online dance program.
I feel extremely grateful for the opportunities I’ve had so far, in the world of dance that I love so much. I aspire to share my love and knowledge of dance with others; to highlight the power of dance and to help people truly thrive.
